Hello I am

Margarita O'Neal

LCDC, LPC-associate
Supervisor: Stenet Frost MA, LPC-S

I provide individual, family, and group sessions!

I have been a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for ten years. I am currently employed at Azleway Substance Abuse Program in Big Sandy, and provide services to at-risk adolescent males who are court-ordered into residential substance use disorder treatment by the juvenile justice system. I am a bilingual counselor on staff who bridges the communication gap for the parents of the boys they serve.

I attended Texas State Technical College where I graduated with an Associate's degree in Applied Science with an emphasis on Chemical Dependency. Shortly after graduating, I earned my counseling license and went on to further my education. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Addiction Counseling from Aspen University in 2018. Then, I took the next step and obtained my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health from Walden University.

I am a 2020 NBCC Minority Fellow and was selected to receive an NBCC Minority Fellowship scholarship which allowed me to receive extra training for professional development.

In the past, I volunteered for the Texas Department of Corrections, Meals on Wheels, and the Women's Second Chance Council. I was also an active advocate for social justice by serving on the Statewide Leadership Council and the Texas Women's Justice Coalition.
