About Me

Growing up as an athlete taught me how to utilize determination, patience, and tolerance. This led me to become a college athlete opening my eyes to the importance of systems and how this relates to being resilient. I am now a marriage and family therapist, licensed professional counselor, and chemical dependency counselor which means I understand what it takes to create emotional safety within a family. My clinical experience has taught me the importance of hearing each voice in a way that offers validation and support. This means no longer feeling misunderstood or alone.

Through my work in residential settings, I have learned how to take one step at a time while visualizing the future. I know what it means to hurt emotionally and how to overcome those obstacles. Together we can create a plan to strategize against emotional enemies leaving you feeling connected and empowered. I love working with children, teenagers, parents, and families with their life struggles.

I love to be creative and to think "outside the box" using art and experiential exercises to make concepts and ideas more tangible and understandable. Work with me to see how we can incorporate these exercises to help overcome:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety and Phobias

  • Relationship Difficulties

  • Life Transitions

  • Difficulties with Self-Esteem

  • Substance Abuse

  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

  • Behavioral Conflict

  • Developmental Issues

  • Communication Issues

  • Stress Management

  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)

  • Sexual Abuse

  • Grief, Loss, or Bereavement
