About Me

Do you ever feel that no one understands your feelings? Do you feel misunderstood, judged, or ignored?

We can work together to overcome fear and doubt. I am a marriage and family therapist, licensed professional counselor, and chemical dependency counselor which means I understand what it takes to create emotional safety. My clinical experience has taught me the importance of hearing each voice in a way that offers validation and support. I have a passion for working with those who often feel misunderstood or alone.

Growing up as an athlete taught me how to utilize determination, have perseverance, patience, and tolerance. I love to be creative and to think “outside of the box” using art and experiential exercises to make concepts and ideas more real and understandable.

Through my work in residential settings, I have learned how to take one step at a time while visualizing the future. I know what it means to hurt emotionally and how to overcome those obstacles. Together we can create a plan to strategize against emotional enemies leaving you feeling connected and empowered. I have worked with children, teenagers, parents, and families with their life struggles such as:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety and Phobias
